Day after day, Nadhir tried to drown his troubles with alcohol. There wasn’t much work in his small village, and he, his wife, and their 4 children lived in poverty. Sadly, Nadhir spent most of his small income on drinking.
One day, while walking home, Nadhir heard a voice reciting Scripture from a nearby church. To his surprise, he understood every word. He stepped inside and found a group listening to an audio Bible. Nadhir couldn’t resist the invitation to join them as God's Word touched his heart deeply.
Since then, the Scripture became his faithful companion instead of alcohol. His thirst for alcohol was replaced with a new hunger for Scripture. Now he and his family worship together at the church where they hear God speak their language.
