A Faith Comes By Hearing field worker journeyed by rickety boat and rugged paths to reach a remote island village in the Philippines. There, he met a mother of seven who cannot read—but she listens to the Proclaimer day and night. She places it outside her home so others can hear too.
One of her neighbors who is blind, began listening. Through the voice of Scripture, she found hope and was drawn closer to faith.
Though the mother and her family often go days without enough food, her soul remains nourished by God’s Word. Touched by her faith and compassion, the field worker bought 7 kilos of rice to help meet their needs.
This Proclaimer—part of the Vision 2033 mission—is more than a device. It brings the living Word where books cannot go, carrying light into hardship.
