While Kathmandu headlines scream of unrest and division, far above in a small hillside village lies a tiny tea shop, where peace is quietly soaking into the life of an elderly soul.
Lahumaya was told she had only three months to live. Desperate for healing, she spent everything on traditional rituals and sacrifices, but nothing changed. Then, a pastor prayed for her and gave her an Audio Bible. She couldn’t read, but she could listen.
God’s Word played as she walked to the fields, tended her crop, and returned to her shop to make tea. As she listened, hope took root and her strength did return… lo and behold, she was healed.
Today, the tea shop is more than a business. It’s a place where neighbors can gather to share time together, and leave having heard the Word of God. Lahumaya’s story of healing and faith has helped many in her community be filled with more than just tea, as they too come to know Christ as their wellspring of Life.
From despair to hope.
From chaos to peace.
From death to life.
This is the power of God’s Word in a heart language.
